resplendent in her wedding gown and tiara,

at the family home in Packman Lane
ready to leave for All Saints Church in Brantingham.

Dawn and Vincent's Wedding
Proudest day of our lives!
One of Paul Rusling's happiest days, without a shadow of a doubt, was when his only daughter Dawn married Vincent MacPherson in July 2012.

Dawn looked absolutely stunning, Vince did too and every one of their guests was well turned out. It all went well, a truly perfect day.

After a week of cloud and rain it was to everyone's  relief that the glorious Saturday they had chosen in late July 2012 dawned bright and sunny. The main reason for our concern was that the sit down lunch  (or to give it the traditional name, The Wedding Breakfast) for 125 guests was being held in a huge marquee on the car park of our pub, the Triton Inn in Brantingham.

The marquee was superbly furnished with gold seats - well, see above yourself!  A fabulous three course lunch was prepared by our wonderful staff. It's no small job, preparing hot three course lunches for 125 guests, especially when it was food to this high standard. It was unanimously pronounced a success by all members of the MacPherson clan and the Rusling family, plus the friends of the happy couple who came from far and wide.

One of the stars of the day was a 1933 Yellow Rolls Royce, an important part of the Macpherson family. It was brought down to Yorkshire especially from its usual home in the Western Highlands by Vincent's Uncle Donald. You've probably seen the car yourself as this magnificent vehicle has featured in many TV programmes and a couple of films. (You can see more details of this superb car HERE

The car's day began chugging its way from the Rusling family home in Kirk Ella, over the six miles to the Church. That's quite a steep climb up to the top of the Wolds at Weedley, before descending the lovely drive down Brantingham Dale, arriving st  All Saints Church exactly on time for the Wedding Ceremony.  The Bride and her Father had a wee nip of malt whisky in the back of the car en route, a Scottish tradition, or so we were assured!

The wedding car was a 1933 yellow Rolls Royce (still in the family). It chugged its way from the Rusling family home in Kirk Ella, over the six miles to the Church.
